I had to think about this one ...

Hi,

Haven't looked, but I was thinking that fake Victorian attitudes and lies would be a good one in there! (Doesn't apply here, much ... but that upper class thing is boring!)

Not totally limited to the British. Maybe some of the train ones, and in the U.S. "Coffee" can be substituted for 'Tea". I often feel remorse when I see the cup I forgot on the end table, with just enough of the contents evaporated to leave a slim, dark ring about 1/16 inch above the black, still surface which reflects your distorted, guilty face back at you accusingly...

I think it might have something to do with the colonies...

I have to admit, if someone bumps into me in the street, I apologize to them. I'm a New Yorker in so many ways - I've karate-chopped my fair share of taxi side mirrors when they've failed to yield on a crossing, and love a good rant about tourists - but I cannot shake my innate British tendency to apologize for other people's bad behavior.

Hi,

I just did the unthinkable for a while Sharke ... had a cassette small player with "Our Song" (Roger and Ron), and used to turn on the song when ... it always got a ... of some kind, specially on 5th and Hill in downtown LA!

My Hungarian 'Saturday girl' is completely mystified by my Englishness. She cannot understand why I keep thanking her for her hard work, when I'm paying her for doing it.
