Hi all, having trouble with a re-appearing marker, every time i try and drag over an audio clip "Punchy Kick 02-1" to any of the audio tracks it automatically gets set at a marker 586:03781 M:B:T, it only does it with that exact audio clip, ive tried deleting the markers, opening new projects unlocking markers etc, i cant get my head around it, i could settle with not ever using that clip again but im too ignorant to do so, i am the master of my own destiny!, any thoughts would be grand, thanks

Just had a thought, does anyone know of a marker memory dump/config file i can wipe to solve this problem?

What you are seeing is the "Aim Assist" marker. It's there to help you line up start or end times of clips. If you're in the front half of a clip it lines up with the front, rear half lines up with the back.

Under normal use you can turn it on and off by pressing X or choosing to show it or not from the Track View===>View====>Display menu.

I don't think there is a way to turn it off when dragging from the browser though.

Ah.... that's not aim assist. I'm not sure what it is TBH. I can't say I've ever seen anything like that before.

What format is the clip?

I suspect it's a broadcast wave and locked to that time via SMPTE time stamp.

Try exporting the clip as a regular wave, I don't work with them but I'm sure someone on here will know the answer.
