So SONAR X2 on Oct 31st....

  Trick or Treat???

And everything within the Production Suite will most likely be included in the Production Suite version of the next version of Sonar. So whoever got the last promotion, the First Class Upgrade will soon have to pay more $ to upgrade. Now those folks are probably wishing they had waited. But hopefully, Cakewalk will cut us all a really good deal to start with so we can all be on the same Upgrade path.

It seems like a good way to retain some interest in the X1 now that it's been out for 20 months.

It also seems like a good way to get people enthused about daring to install the next version before a hot patch comes out. :-)



In any event, It would be a bummer to buy, or have bought, the package after July 1st 2012 and learn that you were not aware of the rebate until it was too late.

Seems like it's time to get the word out.

Thanks for posting this Mike.
I guess I pulled the trigger a little to quick.
I bought the X1 Producer that gets upgraded to Production Suite in the middle of June.
So I guess I have to be happy with that.
The marketing wording sounds very familiar to how they worded Sonar 8 that ended up being, the next upgrade was 8.5

This means that we can expect a new version no earlier than Oct 31, but soon thereafter.
