their answer to virtual rooms thru your cans

Powered by Waves’ groundbreaking Nx technology, Waves Nx lets you hear, on headphones, the same natural depth, natural reflections, and panoramic stereo image you would be hearing from speakers in an actual room.

I have Tone Boosters TB Isone and it's great but for some reason, my mixes never translated to speakers as expected. Has Waves cracked this problem? I'll certainly download the demo to find out. I am very curious.

The manual states that it uses the computer's camera to track your head movements! This is certainly a new twist!

I grabbed the demo and will be trying it out for a few days. I'll have to compare it to the tool that C.A. recently released for Sonar.

That's very interesting. I would love to hear how that works.

Would like to see Angus Young use this while headbanging.

I downloaded the demo...not much really IMO...now if when you go full
wide that will translate to mixdown then that might have some use
for widening up your mixes...but I see no real benefit to this, especially
when you consider Sonarworks...and there are only 3 presets...

If you REALLY want something useful try this...about the same price

http://everyplugin.com/spatial-sound-card-pro-ssc-stereo.html

You can listen to your mix in different studios just by selecting
the one you want to "listen in"...this is far more beneficial IMO...

also there is a surround version

http://everyplugin.com/spatial-sound-card-pro-ssc-standard.html

I have the stereo version and it's been quite useful for seeing how the mix
translates from "place to place"...

This is NOT a plugin. It is a standalone and it sits between your program and the Soundcard/Interface.
You may have to mixdown and then listen...nevertheless, still beats running hither and yon checking
your mixes...

I had to get used to "what" it was doing, but it does work well....YMMV

The Focusrite VMR box is pretty awesome in this niche. Unfortunately it's been discontinued. http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/apr11/articles/focusrite-vrmbox.htm

Anyone know where/how to use that new C.A. plug in? Monitorize... I tried to find it but can't seem to locate it. I got the demo of this thing and I'd like to compare it.
