Well that was certainly preferable to a lot of their stuff....cos Labrie was nowhere to be seen (or heard)

I miss being able to tease others about that...  Oh well! 

I guess Petrucci works out alott. You have to to be able to play 4 hours and in this tempo. You see that in more resent videos.

Good. This album us more on the prog side, but i like it. I think its great.

There is an article on the album in the new GuitarPlayer magazine, got it today, haven't looked past the cover yet.
 
I'm interested, I may buy it. They are very good. 24/96 is cool but first I'm going to see if it's on Spotify. With Spotify, I rarely find a reason to buy a CD. I have premium so I have the option to play with better sound.
 
Anyway, a heads up if you want to read it.

I didn't listen to this interview yet, but supposedly Dream Theater's engineer talks about some of the songs having over 500 tracks and the album taking more than 700 hours of mixing!  YIKES, Holy Crap!!!

I saw them last back in 1998 when they were opening for ELP and Deep Purple, excellent musicianship and a great show all around.

Cool. Just the durms is to many micks. Manginis drum kits is huge. And they also have full orchestra. That wil add some 100 mics. But 500.... Wow. I will read this later today.

*Pfft...*  I'm sure I could make a song with 500 tracks.  Naturally, most of them would be me loop recording a lead hoping that at least one take would be worth keeping! 

I thought this was just the keepers tracks....
