This is what I felt like the first time I had coffee. I was 19 yo and got a "Day job" at "college", trying to sell newspapers door to door. Me and a friend met the boss guy at a Waffle House and I had two cups... I was off like a rocket. I had NO idea... that stuff was like worse that drugs. I didn't drink coffee anymore for decades. About 10 or 15 years ago I got started, now it has no effect. I drink two travel mugs every morning and sometimes have a Monster Coffee/Energy drink in the early afternoon. It just really doesn't do much to me anymore. If they had ADD (ADHD) when I was a kid, I would have been the poster child. I have lost the "H" part and am now just ADD. Do you know what they prescribe for adult ADHD?? Desoxyn... no kidding! It might not play nice with my heart but heck, you never know! Caffeine is god stuff but it takes a lot. I'll order some Death Wish and report back.

Ordered. 2# and 15 K-cups. I hope it is good. I hope it doesn't kill me...

There's been a load of stories in the newspapers of late about how good coffee is for you....as long as you don't drink too much. I think 2-3 cups a day is the sweet spot.

I started drinking coffee in college - I needed a routine of some kind to help me out of bed and I made myself addicted to coffee to that end.

For the following 20-some years, I drank coffee from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed. Pots and pots and pots.

Then, last year, I realized I didn't finish half my cup most of the time, so I decreased my intake quite radically - two cups in the morning, max. Tea the rest of the day. Exceptionally, I'd sometimes have a cup after dinner.

Immediately, my energy level became a lot more even throughout the day. No more crashing at random intervals...

As of one month ago (a month tomorrow, actually), I finally lost all taste for coffee. One morning I didn't even finish that first cup. The next morning, I made breakfast and then had tea. It used to be that I couldn't possibly exist before that first sip of coffee, much less eat or function...

It wasn't a decision - I just lost my taste for coffee. Tea is just much "fresher". And my energy levels are even better than they were.
