Hi Everyone
This is the first time for me submitting something here on the forum. I hope it is not inappropriate.
It's a shameless plug for a song about Early Onset Alzheimer's I just recently published to You Tube.
The song was completely recorded and mixed in Sonar X3.
Hope you find it interesting.
Best Regards
Ed Everaert

Nice job.

Interestingly enough, I've just started a song about my friend Kathy who developed Early Onset Alzheimer's several years ago - now she's living in an crowded Alzheimer's home, she can't talk anymore, and doesn't remember her two sons.

Such a sad, cruel disease.

Firstly mate,

Don't start your post with "Shameless plug", its your track, be proud of it, slap it on the table and let people take it or leave it. By doing that it makes the track more amateurish and looking to start with a sympathy vote.  And there's absolutely nothing wrong about writing a song about a disease and the subsequent effects of it.

On a side note, I like this a lot, my type of music. This lady has a great voice and its great to have a video of her actually performing too. I too love that chord change on the second "you are here".

Very good,

Cian

Thanks Cian
A fair and honest assessment. I agree it was probably presented in a negative demeanor here. Glad you like the tune. We have had 5k+ hits on you tube with it so far with virtually no hype or publicity. Considering we did it all including the video shoot in about 6 hours, I am proud of it. There was a drum track, but I lost the argument to include it with the rest.

Ruben.
Thanks for the encouragement. Sad to here about your friend.

Peace to all
Ed

I was going to do a tune about Alzheimer's but then I forgot to start itl

Worked with it a few years agol It's "interesting" to see people who've loved you who don't recognize you? Interesting/sad...

It's a beautiful song, and I love the voice of the singer.  While I was listening (and before I read your own comments), I was wondering what a drum track would do to the song. The fact that I considered it, makes one wonder :)

I felt its presence, and where it came in when I added it, moved the power of the song forward. The others were from the folk world and are used to working without a drummer. Couldn't convince them that I thought it gave the song a wider commercial appeal. Wish I could let you hear it with the track, but that would be unprofessional on my part.

Thanks for nice comments.

This is absolutely beautiful and hits home with me, as my mother had Alz.
The recording and mix sounds fantastic also.
