Cool tune.  I like it.  Not the worst mix ever.  I've heard worse.  I don't have the ears that others around here, so I can't be more specific on the mix.

20 years old, very 90's. Somehow though it reminds me of some of the 70's psychedelic surf music I used to listen to. Maybe it's the guitar sound, although maybe I'm just stuck in that era.
The mix is not bad perse, it's just a little raw and rough around the edges. I could definitely hear what you were aiming for and that's a good start. There's nothing quite like laying back on a summers night, listening to some cool lead guitar.

Hi Jan, thanks, glad you like the tune.

Hi Wayne, thanks, glad you picked up on the 70's vibe, I was aiming for a sort of Focus (Jan Akkerman) vibe : )

I don't have the multitrack for this, this was probably recorded sound on sound on a tape recorder, just can't remember. I used r-mix to separate the guitar, that sort off works, the rest of the instruments seem to be all in the same spot ; )  Also there's no bass in the Original, don't know where the kick drum and the bass guitar are hiding.
This was based on a tape that a friend of mine played drums on.

It works Rik and considering how old and the probable recording method it is fine.

Anytime you can resurrect a song from tape that is 20 years old, you're doing a good job.  I have boxes of 20 year old cassettes which are mostly mush by now, though there were a few gems from those days.  You have come a long ways since then, but thanks for sharing your roots.

Hi Lynn, I digitized my old tapes and put them on cd rom. It's fun to go through them once in a while.

Hey Rikkie. From the opening sounds I knew I was gonna like this. Just the power of vibrating air. Like the first warm spring winds and the promise of what's to come. Really enjoyed that one Rik! Made me feel young again. Lynn said it right "Thanks for sharing your roots".   Jim
