After my last post, I decided just to have some plain old fun.  This is a number about one of my major pet peeves.  It Is called "I Hate To Get Up In The Morning" and no it is not a cover of the other song with the same name.  I tried to record it as if it were being performed in a small club venue.   Oh well! -- best of intentions.

As always comments, crit.'s, suggestions, etc. are appreciated.  Thanks!!

Freddy, as someone who had to get up at 5:00 am for 30 years, I appreciate this song more than you can know.  Upon retirement, I've acquired a lifestyle that goes to bed closer to 5 than ever before.  Who knew a morning dove could so quickly become a night owl.  That's what this song reminds me of, "The Night Owl Blues". ;)

Loved it. The rhythm sections sounds exactly how I feel at 6:10AM every weekday morning. I guess my extra 1:10 may feel like sleeping in to Lynn.

I can empathize, too.  Well done, Freddy.

I hate the clock ringing at morning too, but on the other hand, it's nice to wake up and find myself still alive. Well performed and recorded. sounds good

Nice one Freddy. Like Lynn, being retired, there is really no need to get up in the morning hating it, because it's more like going to bed in the morning and getting up in the afternoon, and not because I have to. But, that's only once in a while. I like getting up in the morning to see the sunrise and smell the fresh morning air, and enjoying my morning coffee, at least for the most part. I enjoy the light more than the darkness, as you can usually see more in the day than you can at night. Enjoyed the nice bluesy sound to this song. Thanks for sharing.

Peace and Blessings, John

I really liked the lyrics. Especially because I don't own an alarm clock and can wake up when I want.
