The Accompaniment Machine (AMac) is an easy-to-use program that lets you create professional-sounding custom accompaniments to any song, even if you have no experience in composing and arranging. AMac is an invaluable resource for vocalists, instrumental soloist, choirs, singing groups and keyboardists. The key is the program's ability to access the many of Yamaha-format accompaniment styles available on the Internet — virtual backup bands for your performances. The package includes a library of over 5000 tested styles and hundreds of ready-to-use accompaniments.

I have downloaded the demo. Being able to send MIDI output to Z3ta+. Will try to capture the accompaniment tracks to Sonar MIDI track tonight.

Following is the link for Video Demo. Hope you will like it.

Looks like an interesting tool......if Toontrack did this, it would be EZ Accompaniment .

Post back Snehankur with a review of it.

I have the Yamaha QY100

Sensational concept. It is such a creativity booster,

I was even about to recommend this for a next-generation version of Sonar but held back because they should first get the everyday bugs fixed.

I had also suggested the following :
http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3292340/?
as a feature:
 agree.
 request for :

A. A CHORD Track - to enter chords from keyboard(QWERTY) or MIDI
B. Midi Track - with option populate from Chord Track [options : a Lane to define INVERSION, a Lane to define Key range, Right Click Option - CONTINUE COMMON NOTES from previous Chord
C. Midi Track - A Lane - insert pattern [.mid / .riff] - populate from Midi Track

A and B may be single instance and Track C type can be multiple [ we can create Bass line and other accompaniments]

Lastly on track type C - right Click option - HUMANIZE (with a popup slider for degree of Humanization)

I had some time today morning. I had tested and recorded the arrangement output to SONAR MIDI Tracks. There are some improvements/ features required. But we can use this for easy arrangements with Yamaha styles redirected to SONAR.

From the video it reminds me a lot of ChordPulse http://www.chordpulse.com
I bought it a while ago and have used it from time to time, it doesn't read Yamaha styles though and it's built in library is kind of small, but as a tool for playing with chord progressions it isn't that bad.

I also have seen that.
This AMAC, what I have found, since taking advantage of Yamaha arranger styles, this is
I. expanding with more and more styles available on net
ii. having 8 tracks of accompaniment.
iii. Lots of controls.

I am still exploring.

Today I have worked with AMAC. To collaborate this to SONAR I followed the following process:
I have used LoopBe1 as virtual MIDI cable from AMAC to SONAR.
So output port of AMAC is LoopBe1.
In SONAR Initially I have taken one instrument track as TTS-1, which has 16 channels. Another advantage of taking TTS-1 is it gets updated instantly with the volume and patch change as intended in the STYLE sent by AMAC. Thus it gives us a fair idea which instrument we need for which channel.
Then based on required instrument I have introduced 2 DIM-PRO, 1 Addictive DRUM, 1 Z3ta2+, 1 GS-2.
I have set each MIDI input channels accordingly.
Then I muted TTS-1.
I had armed all the Instrument tracks.
Since AMAC is not a plug-in to SONAR it will not take the project TEMPO and not taking the start/stop [I am still not sure whether I can send start stop from SONAR to AMAC yet]
Set the same tempo for SONAR and AMAC.
Keep metronome on.
Start record. Leaving 2 bars running, manually I started AMAC.
The entire accompaniment got recorded in the instrument track, thus MIDI.
I took the Drum Track in the PRV and Zoomed.
Select all the MIDI clip and dragged a little snapping to the 1st measure.
DONE.
I am being able to change the instruments later or edit MIDI.

If some of the feature is added to AMAC it will work fine with SONAR and might work as an arranger keyboard with all styles of PSR/Tyros !!

Thanks Snehankur......this is very informative and looks very promising. So, I take it that once you used all the other instruments (VST's), the outcome of the recorded material was useful in making backup music and do you think it's worth purchasing....or are there anythings you feel it's lacking??
