I hosted/co-organised a kind of gala party this weekend.
We had problems deciding which of the guests should sit in the VIP tables with the distinguished guests.
The solution lead to a debate, so I suggested marking two tables for very important people and two
for relatively important people (some retired directors etc.).
I almost got through with it ...
Now, be honest: I always get naive joy when I am able to make a joke in foreign language. Is that "relatively
importan person" vs. VIP an oooold one and worn out in the english speaking world?
