Nice playing and composition and a nice balanced mix Wayne.
Horns are difficult to replicate without spending a fortune - easiest thing to do would be to replace it with a different sound all together - maybe an ethereal synth or something.

Totally enjoyable. The mix is very good with dynamics. Like Lynn and others said, you can experiment with instrument choices.

That lead instrument up to 1:28~ was too harsh for my ears. I mean this in the kindest way. It was kind of a Casio keyboard sound straight out of the 80s'. Then that beautiful viloin comes in. Then that "sound" comes back in.

I could hear that part/sample as a French Horn.
