In the Support section on their website there is a section about problems associated with using Auto align with Sonar. Is anyone using it? If so, do you have issues with it?

I don't use Auto Align, but I did get their Drum Leveler and Surfer EQ...neither of which work properly with Sonar. I'm not ruling out the possibility it's my system, but those are the only two plugins that cause me any headaches. Both are basically unusable - once I insert either one into an otherwise stable project, Sonar starts crashing like crazy. Which is really too bad, because they're very cool utensils. At the end of the day, even though Sound Radix's support is pretty good, I've had to write 'em off as an expensive mistake.

Well, Auto Align seems like a really useful tool and, it gets great reviews. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound too hopeful that it will work with Sonar. Bummer. I wonder why it works so well with other programs? I wonder what the differences are.

Not used AutoAlign but have the SurferEQ boogie which works just as it should with SPlat.

But how about MAutoAlign? https://www.meldaproduction.com/MAutoAlign
Or Waves' InPhase? https://www.waves.com/plugins/inphase#
Or this from Evetinde? https://www.eventideaudio.com/products/plugins/time-align/precision-time-align

I use Sound Radix Auto Align and Drum Leveler all the time with Sonar Platinum 2018.08 version... the plugins are working great. The only issue I had was with jumping around the timeline while playing with Auto Align on a few tracks.... it caused a buzzing sound until I stopped and re played. I usually align the multi-mic's drums or guitar cab and then apply the FX to the track... no problems and the phase alignment can greatly improve the sound. Never had a problem with Drum Leveler at all. I'm running the latest update of Windows 10 Home as well.

I use Auto Align with no problems. Splat 8.2017. Never had problems with this plugin. Not on Win 10, but 7.

Well, I am trying out the free trial of Auto Align and it has issues. When you run it on the initial, reference track it opens right up at minus 10000 samples so, it is not reading the timing correctly from Sonar. In their support FAQs it says it may not behave well with Sonar and they have a workaround vst to download and use to correct it. So, I guess I won't be buying Auto Align. I just can't see paying $150 for something that doesn't work correctly with Sonar and have to use a "FIX" just to make it work. Either they should fix it or have a special Sonar only version or work with Cakewalk to fix it if the problem happens to be on their end Too bad, seems like a really good plugin, too.

I am using auto align in Sonar Platinum with no problems, although I do remember a problem at first when using one of their VST versions... I think I started with the VST3 version not behaving properly, then having to install the VST2 version instead. You could try that if the demo lets you install both types.

I'll add here that I only use VST2 version as well. That makes one of us on Win 10 and one on Win 7 with no problems running VST2. I run Auto Align for multi-tracked drums, and it's the first thing I do to drums. Once they are time aligned and phase aligned, then I'll bounce these to new drum tracks. I keep the originals in a drum archive folder, in case I need them in original form again. After Auto Align is done, I can process individual tracks. I don't keep Auto-Align hanging around through all my mix decisions though. I just use it once at the beginning. I have a habit of processing, then bouncing, so I don't have too many options later in the mix stage. Just my way of working...
