Hello everyone,

Here's a new one I've been working on for a few weeks:

Even though this one was inspired by "The Shepherd's Dream", I like how the Cinderella story fits the different parts of the song.

Thanks to Lynn for helping me find the title...

Regards,
Dan

Now were talking my kind of vibe here. That was absolutely awesome and everything sounded just great from start to finish. As for a title, I could think of many, but one that sticks out in my mind is something like "Grandfather Times Rhythmic Journey", or something along that line. Very invigorating production. Nicely done.

Peace and Blessings, John

Thanks John! I've heard some of what I do in your stuff as well. Glad you liked the production, it was a challenge, to be sure. Also, thanks for the title suggestion!

Dan

This is excellent Dan, really uplifting track. Love that skipping groove and the way it falls into the drifting section, nice piece of arranging. I like that Moog-ish lead synth, I always gravitate towards sounds like that.

Beautifully put together track, did you play the drums on this or program them? They work wonderfully throughout.

I think 'The Shepherd's Dream' is the perfect title, if that's what gave you the inspiration. Either that or 'Counting The Cosmic Sheep'

That lead synth was an accident that I fell in love with. I was screwing around with Omnisphere messing around with different parameters when it just sort of happened. I couldn't recreate it if I tried, lol.

The drums are SSD4, played from my keyboard. I haven't owned a kit in 30 years, but I loved playing them. Even though I am, technically, a "guitar player", I've played drums in several bands years ago and really get into building drum parts.
I was partial to "The Shepherd's Dream" at first, but if you don't know the painting, the song may not make sense. That, and the clock really isn't part of the painting. I added that for atmosphere.

No animals were harmed in the making of this song...

Regards,
Dan

This is a beautiful song, Dan.  "Glass Slipper" came to my mind as I was listening.  I don't know why, I must be in a Cinderella mood.

The Band19
Call it "Bats in my belfry" Or "Bats in your belfry" Or "Bats in her belfry"

As long as you cover the Bats, and the belfry, I think you're good.
