I only ask because today I spilled a hot cup of coffee on my nether regions, and my brother told me that was Karma.  I asked him why, and he said it was for being mean to him when we were children.
 
When does karma kick in?  When you turn eighteen?  If karma is real I'm sure I could be in a pickle soon.  If you don't think it's real does it still exist?  Am  I in denial?

Karma only applies to those who believe in it. Colonialism still hasn't been paid back and if there's Karma, then the perpetrators of that atrocity sure aren't getting their Karma's worth. Karma is only a philosophical perspective. If you believe in Karma then it's true. If you don't then it most likely doesn't affect you much.

I read a funny one somewhere -can't remember where- about the desire for a peaceful world where chickens don't get questioned when they cross roads.

I tend not to worry about those things, since you can not exactly control them.
 
But I have to tell you that the last 3 companies that I worked for, were not exactly honorable in their intentions, and in the end, and very quickly, they went down hill, FAST, and BADLY.
 
All in all, it is what it is, and if the person/management does not know the difference, then you and I are in the wrong place ... period ... but if they think they can continue cheating and ripping off people ... good luck! There are plenty of poker players out there and they are not stupid!

It depends on how seriously you want to take it. One could consider making all the traffic lights on the way to work as good karma but the toilet being out of order when you get there could be bad...
 
Being seated quickly at a restaurant to find the food horrible. Is that good and bad karma or just bad?
