If you want a musician you need to contact your local Walmart (stocking employees) or the local music store. If you want a band you will have to check with your Grandpa or old Uncle to see what his friends are doing

As the older musicians keep passing on, soon this younger generation will have nothing new to sample.

When I play out these days, which isn't often, I get paid the same amount as I did in 1975. Back in the day I bought a house with my music earnings. Today, it covers the gas to get to the gig and breakfast at Denny's afterward. Good thing it's still fun.
