Lynn this is a marked improvement on the first version I heard with this, the clarity of the bass is sweet.  If I had one minor nit it would be that the Vox still could do with a little low middle weight, but that could just be my furry ears.

This overall very good thanks for sharing again

This one hit me right straight away Lynn, love it. The bass and guitar riffs are working perfectly in this, weaving in and around each other. I might use the harmony/2nd vocal a little more sparingly in the verses so the chorus jumps out more, but that's just me. Always like a good middle 8 before a break, and you did a great one here. Liking that marimba too, nice touch.

I like the sound of the second mix best, a fuller sound to my ears.  The panning keeps the listener engaged.  Sweet guitars man.

Wow, this is exactly what I was hoping for.  I'm overwhelmed by your responses!

@ Voda La Void - Thanks for to good review.  Now I want to make that down payment on the 5 string bass I was looking at.  Regarding the bass, which is still an issue, I didn't want the sound to be boomy, and I do love the classic Fender sound, which I was going for.  I understand what you mean by a modern, phat sound.  That will be my goal.

@ bayoubill - I'm always pleased to hear good things from you, as I'm a fan of yours.  Note my comments above about the bass.

@ Ruben - Thanks for your time and comments.  The bass will be my next goal.

@ Bob - You make me feel better about where this is going.  I hear you about the low end.  Thanks so much.

@ rebel007 - thanks for taking a second listen.  Your input has been very helpful.

@ paulo - It's good to hear from you.  Point taken, and that will be my immediate goal.  Great ears, as always.

@ Wookie - Thank you for a second listen.  I may have been too concerned with the low middle weight above my belt line to have missed it in the vocal.  I'll pay particular attention to this on the next go-round.

@ james - Thank you for your kind and wise comments.  I'll listen for this on the next mix.

@ olemon -Thanks for your input!  I appreciate you and everyone else noticing the panning, which was widened between versions.

You all have great ears, and I'm blessed to have your assistance.  You all get co-credit.

I think you've got the sounds of the 70's on spot with highly panned guitars, a dry sound with a lot of compression.
The bass guitar is clear and the vocal harmonies are excellent. My personal preferencies would be less panning, a bit reverb and perhaps add some warmth to it but I guess that would take it away from its correct era. Good job!

Thanks for taking the time to listen again!  I remixed it again and tried to add a bit of low-mid warmth per your suggestion.  I hope this helps.

This is a cool song.  Catchy, cool, kind of joe walsh vibe.  I really want the drums brought up a bit. When it first began I couldn't quite catch on, like it lacked a foundation.  At the very least, give it some kick.  I couldn't hear any kick on my desktops with a sub.  Otherwise this is a very cool, catchy, well performed tune.  Nice.

After listening to the new mix, this is my suggestions. Bring both guitars down .50db and boost the drum track.50db. Other than that it is finished. Nice job on bringing the bass to where it needed to be. The reason I am making these suggestions is because of what I'm hearing in my Hi-def headsets, which are good ones. You can give it a try, but save it as a different piece so you don't loose what you have, and see if I am right, or not. You decide. Great song for the last one on your album.

Peace and Blessings, John

@sven450 and John -  Drums will be coming up and guitars down.  I feel it's close and this may be the final piece of the puzzle.  Thanks!!!

To those who want more drums and bottom end, here is my 4th mix in 7 days.  It sounds very close to me, and I like this better.  Thanks to all.
