I like it better than the original.  Sounds more appropriate and real.  Sorry, but the original feels like a put on, like someone wrote that first line and then wrote a song around it.

A great version even if I haven't heard the original. Fantastic vocals as usual and I really like the tastefully used harmonics. A top notch arrangement!

I can't take any responsibility for that chord - It's a cover and I (think) I phrased it as per the original song.
It's the D note going throughout the chord progression that gives it that 'off' feel

Great song, loved it. Sorry Daryl, the playing is good but it's the vocal that takes it to the next level. Pass on my compliments to the singer, there is true tenderness and longing in that delivery.
