Great stuff Daren - you know I'm already a fan
Love the vocal 'effect' - how many overdubbed vocal tracks do you have there?
sweet. thanks. ya i recorded each track individually- triple and double tracked old school style- root vocal three times each with dif mic, each harmony doubled - one using condenser mic; the other, ribbon mic. so it's seven of me at once just mixed differently in verses… second verse the harmonies are louder than the root etc to it's 'inverted' to give harmonic color … also none of the vocals are tuned as i'm kinda singing just 'under' some notes esp in the glissandos
kewl thanks again it's really painstaking and laborious to track this way but i'm digging the effect. my hip hop friends got a laugh me writing beats and sequencing so much stuff out. lot's of MIDI- totally loving Logic's loop editor- but all electric guitars are live tube amps going through 4x12's so it has a 'rock' element still in there amongst all the odd time poly-rhythms and electronica. three acoustic guitars recorded in small chamber for more 'air' and what i call "featheration" of arpeggiated strums and DADGAD open tuning chords/ vamps
