MetalTek, thank you. I used to try to mask or shun all my influences in an effort to sound "modern". Quite a while back, I pretty much just learned to embrace my natural sound and use it to its advantages. Really happy that you are hearing a clean sound, that is the biggest thing I have been going for lately.

Clint, I appreciate you noticing the bass on this one; I have always liked this laid back bass style, in this song as well. In the chorus, I decided to kick into a more driving bass style. I kind of like that contrast. I couldn't hear any issues with the vocals originally either; glad they are sounding clear now. I finally had a chance to actually try out the ARA Melodyne integration on this song, I had just a couple of slightly flat verse notes on one of the verses. On my last couple of songs I didn't have to correct any pitch. I am really liking the new ease of use with the ARA integration.

Lynne, thanks brother you have been a sense of support from the first time I ever decided to share my songs and I have greatly appreciated it.

You don't sound "just like" anyone.  
I hear the influences but it sounds original and doesn't sound "dated".

Great song, love the guitars. I was listening through headphones and the separation was a little disconcerting at the beginning but got easier to listen to as the song progressed. You said you were after separation and to have the guitars wrap around the vocals so i guess that worked well. Glad you brought up the vocals a bit, I'm a big fan of "hearing the vocals".

Damn this guitar tone is sweet!  I love guitars mixed loud like this.  Good rock tune.  Tom Petty would be jealous.

Sorry I threw you off balance there. I hope when the second guitar comes in in the next measure you got centered back up again. I'm sure by the third measure when the bass enters down the middle you got centered up again. Hope I didn't cause any permanent damage. :-)
