One of the first things she did when my wife and I first met was to buy 6 dozens of black (artificial) roses for me. As things turned out, those remained packed until very recently, but I stumbled upon them tonight and I thought they be just what I needed to give this room that little touch I was looking for.

As I wanted to store gear and stuff, I figured I might go all the way and finish the decoration while I was at it.

Now I'm ready to get back to writing after almost 3 months away from my DAW.

Looks like all you need now is a pentagram marked on the floor!

Well, TOS = No religion = goes both way. ;)

Though to be honest, my main inspiration comes from funeral homes.

I love what you've done with the place!  Especially the lamps.  I want a cool set of lamps.

Found them at Home Goods. I really liked them but, as usual, I told my wife, well, let me think about it, I'm not sure I want to spend that much on lamps.

She insisted that I take them.

Thankfully, because I never saw ones like these again.

Come to think of it...

Though it's not inverted, so I'm not sure if that counts... :s

I also found the loveliest door knocker.

What kind of controller is that? That looks nice.

It's a Digidesign Command 8 that I bought from a friend at a bargain price when he moved back to Canada.

Technically, I could map it and use it with Logic, but I'm so proficient with keybindings that it wouldn't be worth the effort. Pro Tools a different story however, and since I use Pro Tools mostly for mixing, a hardware controller comes in handy.
