The name of a bakery. Literaly Rewarded Bakery Marconi - probably "Marconi's award winnining bakery" would be a better translation.

Although we are used to it since it is pop culture, Steely Dan is an odd bad name especially considering the origins.

I knew that part ... but for a band name, I thought it was kinda funny, specially in Europe, when yes, there were many local bakeries that got an award for this or that. Same thing used to happen in Brazil, in both Assis and Araraquara where we lived in the state of Sao Paulo. heck, you could smell it before it came out of the oven and you would be there to buy one loaf, before it even cooled down! Slap the butter on it, and karrrruunnnch right into it!

Funnier yet, were the gadgets that used to be put out for many of the Steely Dan's albums. And one such pipe, of course was ... you know it ... and many guys looked at that pipe ... and would not take a toke off it ... and you should have seen the girls laugh their hearts out ... it was almost too funny!
