Beautiful production Dan!  Lovely and rich in texture.  It pumps a little with the overall compression.  I love the sounds and ambience.

Very nicely done Dan. Nice clear production and everything fits together nicely and sounds good to my ears. I like how the guitar fits like glue to this piece. Hope you had a blessed Christmas.

Peace and Blessings, John

Thanks John! I spent way too much time getting that guitar tone to where it felt right, but it was worth it.

Dan

Too much compression? I did have 4db on the master, but it didn't sound like too much at the time...

Thanks for the feedback and kind words!

Dan,
I heard the compression on the drums more than the overall.  Sorry, I should have clarified.  No biggy.  The mix is really nice regardless.

The melodies in this are really good mate, the intro guitar picking is beautiful.

I did think that the pads/string synths were too up front ALL the time (certainly at the first half of the song), they should at times be sent right back and let that piano come out in parts IMO.

The melodic arrangement is really impressive and the soundscape created is true to the theme I reckon.

Ill be checking out your posts again.

No problem, I did compress the snot out of the toms to get them so big, lol.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been thinking the the piano did get pushed too far back as well. I'm actually not completely happy about where the piano is spatially either. I'll have to play with the mix and see where else it might fit.

It definitely was Dan, that's a gorgeous sound. Really like this track, very uplifting and lush sounding. Bass lines are good too, melodic and tasteful. I'd say you've spent quite some time arranging the parts in this tune and it's really paid off.
