I really like this Dan. Definitely potential for a TV/Movie theme or would sound great with vocals.
I agree with the comments about compression.

Thanks Daryl! Yes, after many listens in various environs, I can hear that the bass is overcompressed. I do, however, like the drums pumped the way they are, lol. Too many years listening to Genesis and Peter Gabriel, I guess.

It brought back fond memories of flying the island hops and driving around those gorgeous canyons.

There is a lot happening in this song and I think you did a great job of mixing it all together. I will leave it to others to give thoughts on how the mix could be improved, it is beyond my pay level. I found myself drifting along the beaches and soaring over the mountains of Hawaii. If that was your aim, by titling the song as such, then I would consider your brief fulfilled.
