  • Do you use the included Sonitus FX Suite In Sonar?

Being a Traditionalist/Minimalist, I try to keep processing to a bare minimum. if something already sounds great, just leave it alone.
However, recently, I enabled the EQ on the RME UFX Plus and I was just blown away, it's 3 Band very simple but extremely clean, no color as in tube like or tape saturation like sound.

Unless I have missed something, one of my issues with the Sonitus is the Graphical style layout (different strokes for different folks)
and also, (Please Correct me if I am wrong), I have also seen the Sonitus as a fortune cookie or a mint, you know a free give away. More of a gesture then of any value. Just like Microsoft Access included in a Office Suite which most people do not use.
But I could be wrong, especially given I do not use these plug-ins much.

Do you use the Sonitus FX Plugin, if so how would you rate the quality compare to other Software Effects, and if so, is it enough to get your work done?

My favorite Sonar FX plugin was the Lexicon Patheon, I loved that, I also use the Sonitus Delay, which is cool.

Thanks everyone.

I used them for a few years, they worked fine for me. I don't really use them that much anymore.
I can say that the Reverb has crashed Sonar in 64bit. when I try to use the predelay.

I would google to see if you can find them for sale.

peace! :)

I use the Compressor pretty often.  I've got a go-to preset for side-chaining the bass guitar from the kick drum, for example (this is my #1 use for the Sonitus compressor).
If I need a noise gate or wahwah effect, the Sonitus are my first try.  They don't always end up the final choice, but they're where i start.

I still use them quite a bit.
Back in the day these were a pretty price for the whole suite. Their GUI isn't fancy and they may sometimes appear to have a lower sample/bit rate but they are still very capable.

I can only sum it up by saying...
Things change, better plug ins come out, but good plug ins never die and Sonitus plug ins are good plug ins.

Ditto. Woks really well on my P-Bass. For some reason not so well on my other basses. But I happen to have a few VST compressors to choose from for those basses.

I use them all the time for various things. I especially find myself using the delay.

Same here. That delay has a real old school vibe to it and easy to set repeats/time/synch to host.
