Greetings.

Has anyone here tried upgrading the BBE Sonic Maximizer (Virtronix version) for use with Vista?

I had a PC running Windows XP HE with HS2002. First, I upgraded my old PC to Sonar 7 SE, then got a new PC with Vista HP (64-bit). S7SE works fine, but of course, the BBE software didn't work. Is there a Vista driver available? I'd hate to buy this all over again, esp. with the problems reported with the install of the version from Nomad Factory. Does anyone else have the Virsonix version *and* Vista?

Thanks!

It could be due to not being a 64 bit plugin. I have the old BBE SM and it works with 32 bit Vista Ultimate just fine.

Hmmm... Looks like I may be stuck with upgrading. Thing is, I like what I've been able to do with the BBE SM, and I'm not sure I'm ready to give it up just yet.

Thanks,

I have upgraded to windows 7 32bit so all of my hardware and software would continue to be compatible. Unfortunately my BBE Sonic maximize software will not install. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does it come with an installer, or just the DLLs? If the former, can you request a DLL-only install from the vendor? Is the product even still available?

The reason I ask is that some installers broke in Windows 7, but the plugin (DLL) itself should still work.

Sometimes, you can use an extraction utility to pull the DLLs out of an installer.
