Hi-
Anyone who's tried this knows it takes a *really* long time to backup to the Acronis Cloud, but did you know that if you hit the "Pause" button there's no way to resume it? I saw this on a forum or two but had it verified by an Acronis TS rep:
"No, there is no way to resume the backup after hitting pause button. The backup will run from the beginning." My response was "Why not just call it "Stop", then? Makes no sense!"
I can still get a refund for the Cloud version. I'm about 20 hours away from a full disk backup (4 days total.) I'll let it complete and go from there. When I tried the "Entire PC" backup it stalled at 47%, "Reconnecting..." and never picked up again. That's when I called TS.
I don't know if this is true for local backups as well (that they can't be paused/resumed.) I've used Acronis True Image for years for local backups, but I don't think I've ever tried to pause a backup and I never tried backing up to the cloud. It seemed like a good idea at the time ("unlimited backup" -- although apparently there's a 3 TB limit.)
Does anyone have anything good to say about the Acronis Cloud backup? My thought was I'd have to endure a really long inital backup time and then subsequent backups would be fairly quick.
Thanks-
-Susan
