Thanks @Anderton - I appreciate the note on how it provides value to Cakewalk.

Yes, the feedback is invaluable. For one thing, it showed that people really pay attention to the articles on the 30 freebies, so I know it's worth spending time on describing what the presets, samples, etc. do.

can you share some insight into how this works? is it how long i spend with pages 2-3 open in the browser, for example?

I thought there was a way to download the eZine without letting Issuu profile me?
Does anyone have a link directly to the PDF?

Open it from the Rolling Updates page. If you hover the cursor in the upper left corner, there's an arrow for downloading the pdf.

I'm not totally sure of the details, I've gotten one report so far and it detailed which articles got the most interest. A lot of this is based on page performance and read times, downloads, how many people opened the issue, impressions, etc. This page gives the basics.

Hi all,
QA just nudged me, and pointed out some of your comments re touch in the Track View time ruler. We just double checked, and unfortunately it seems that the issue is only partially fixed after all. Thanks for reporting it. We've made a note, and will do our best to fix any remaining issues in the next release.
Ben

FWIW, I strongly appreciate this type of post. Even if it's a bit deflating to CW to confirm an issue that was previously tested, seeing a handshake like this between a forum-reported issue and the developers (or even Support) is absolutely a welcome breath of fresh air. I do hope this type of back and forth to continue. THANK YOU, CW!!

This update again overwrote basic.cwt template (why?) and first run with new project shows just 1 audio and 1 midi tracks with first possible inputs... And this time also removed my lens (why?). Such files should never been touched by updates as their are designed as user customized, aren't they?

While I am happy and appreciate for every improvement and bug fix it is very annoying and frustrating to lose files which are user customized...

Microsoft has released a new device for interacting with Windows 10 and it’s Apps. We are happy to announce that you can now use the new Surface Dial with SONAR along with any other Wheel device for Windows 10.

Good Day,
Sounds great for Win10 and touch screen users and Ill have to assimilate eventually I guess, LOL. But I would also be happy if some shortcut and functions could be assigned to a mouse that has multiple buttons, as a mouse is still somewhat relevant I think?
Otherwise so far Im still content with 2017-06 functionality and features, and just downloading the 30th Anniversary stuff.

hey john, you may find something like xmouse useful https://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/xmousebuttoncontrol.htm for mapping stuff to the extra buttons, though i've never tried it myself maybe others have...

Check this bug.
I think it was introduced in this version, because in previous versions this did not happen.

This seems to be a new bug introduced on 2017.09.
