In my defense, I just started adding some harmony where it seemed appropriate:) Maybe I'm not using the right jargon, but those instrument tracks including the sax are software generated from pre-recorded performances.
Thanks Robbie. I struggle with balancing the instruments and vocal and I appreciate your input. I'm finding that with my monitors, I have to mix/master to the limit of my tolerance for 'treble'. Only then do I seem to get the bright sound in an mp3 file that I'm after, and that you pros get. Else the final product ends up dull and lifeless. Much to learn.
