Kontakt 5 dll file is gone from my Cake VST folder and no longer will load.  Absynth 5 too.  This after an update to Kontakt 5.5.1
 
First, anyone else seeing this?  Second, where the heck IS the Kontakt 5 dll file?  I'll just move it to the proper folder.
 
 

Have not seen that issue here. My Kontakt 5.dll file is located in:
 
c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins
 
If you do a search in Windows explorer for Kontakt 5.dll does it turn up anything?

Yup it looks like it ate the Kontakt 5 dll files and the Absynth dll file from my 64 bit folder.  The standalones work fine but it has left me dead in the water in Sonar until I can get those dll files back.  I've put in a support ticket at NI but that might take awhile.

If anyone here has successfully updated to the latest (as of today) version of Kontakt 5 and Absynth and would be willing to send me those dll files I would greatly appreciate it.  If so, send to:

PS:  I think that Kontakt has several dll files ( 8 out, 16 out, etc...)

Nope...upon search, no such animal exists now.  Or absynth.  Weird...
 
(and that's the same folder I kept my NI stuff in)
 

Never had a problem with the updates...

Did you install it with the Service Center or by a download?

The Download will ask you WHERE...the Service Center will put it where the current
version resides...THAT is the difference...

Wow, that is a little spooky. I tried to send you the Kontakt 5.dll but it is ~42MB and my email won't allow me to send anything over 25MB.

BTW...I used the service center to both download and install.
Which I've always done since it became available.

Turns out it ate all my 64 bit Kontakt5 dlls, my Absynth5 dlls, and my Replika dll.
This is odd because I DID update both Kontakt5 AND Replika...but NOT Absynth5.
 

Danny helped me setup a dropbox one time but I never put it on the new machine and have no idea where to start. I can't think of anywhere I could upload this file to.
 
I do know there are 3 Kontakt dll's, regular, 8 out, & 16 out. They are each around 42MB. It looks like I have 4 different Absynth 5 dll's and they are ~46MB each.
 
Not sure how to help you out at this point.

That doesn't sound right...

May want to run a V-Scan also....sounds fishy...

Have you tried re-installing and seeing if it fixes itself?
