...but not by me. A few new Classic Rock Lead presets I made that I love.
The mid focus eq is basically a HP/LP filter, and is key to good tones with the POD.
I posted in this forum because of the amp sim talk, and the HD500X is both hardware and software.

Clint,

I just got the HD add packs for Christmas and wow!  If you think it is underrated without them get the packs.  I really dig the sound and feel of the new amps.

The Vox AC30 Fawn Bright Ch. sounds like the real deal!  The orange is a good amp and I am going to play with the 5150 today though it seems a little noisy, Might have to put a noise gate on it.

Just bought a used (fully working brand new) POD HD500X.

just getting used to the hardware sections etc.  downloaded the software editor but haven't played around much yet.

1.  do I download peoples (this thread) user presets and use the POD HD Edit software to get them in the POD HD hardware?

2.  is the HD Fully Loaded POD pack worth $99?  there are a few listed that I would love to try and have, $99 doesn't seem that bad but would love review/opinions.

3. better to just download and run user presets for a while before diving into purchase presets?

4.  what about POD Farm 2.5?  that doesn't seem to have anything to do with HD500X am I right?

1. You could try user presets. Go to line6.com customtone to find hundreds, but don't be surprised if they sound terrible. You'll have to make your own to be happy.
2. I don't have the pack so I can't comment.
3. I wouldn't ever buy a preset. You can do just as good as they can.
4. POD Farm has nothing to do with the HD500X.
If you get to where you have a question or need help in any way feel free to PM me. I've had the HD for several years.

1. Yes, use POD HD Edit to get the presets onto your HD500X
2. About two or three time a year they have a 30% off all packs and I picked them up for that.  If you play bass too like I do then they are worth the $99.
3.  There are many great tones out on the Customtone site http://line6.com/customtone/browse/podhd500x/
4. POD Farm 2.5 doesn't work with the HD500X for some reason.  I had POD Farm with my X3live and the HD500X sounds blew it away.  Thinking of getting a helix rack sometime this year though.
You can get some great tones with the HD Edit just messing around with different amps and pairing them together.
Enjoy!
