Sounds good on lappy speakers. Glad to see the project is still alive and well - I sent you a message about it via your site during your forum absence and never heard anything back, so I thought it might have been shelved.

Hi Paul, thanks a lot. I never got that message, I'm sorry about that. Bandzoogle did some major updating recently, maybe it got lost. Back into the project now that the evening are dark and long

James, Another nice piece for your musical book project. How old were you when you read the book? Nice to bring stories to life with music. Nicely done.

Peace and Blessings, John

Nice job all around. Nice guitars and bass. Bass is pretty hot but Ed played really nice. Leads are very well done. I like the ambience. The ending sounds like you are starting a new section. I would chop that.

Thanks John. I would have been around 7 or 8 I think. Yes, it's very inspiring to try and come up with musical ideas to portray the written word.

Thanks Jimmy. I should have mentioned that this track will segue into another ('The Headless Cross'), so the fade-out may sound a little strange. I haven't finished the other track yet

Excellent stuff.  I love your music James.

Something about the bass tone doesn't sound quite right to me though.  It's not that it's too loud or soft, but there are some freqs missing maybe?  Also, the snare drum sounds like you're using brushes on a cardboard box... not sure that's what you were going for though. ;)

Still very listenable and enjoyable!  Send more. :)

Excellent playing James and Baps.
Production is really nice James but I have to agree with Walt about the snare.

Loved the guitar harmonies at the beginning and so well played throughout.

Thanks Walt! it's been a while since I mixed anything, so I'll use that as an excuse for the bass and snare More coming, stay tuned...

Hi, James,

It's really great to hear some new stuff from you, and this is really a fantastic and very sophisticated sounding piece of music!

I love the feeling of solitude that the crystal clear piano intro conveys, and how it melts into this gorgeous instrumental with your trademark guitar tones and tasty solos.  This has lots of clever twists and turns and I really love the well crafted guitar melodies that weave their way in and out of the flowing rhythm.

The mix sounds clean and wide, and Bapsi did a bang up job on the bass, too!

I'm happy to hear that your new project is going well, James, and I can't wait to hear the next addition!

Best Wishes!
Bob
