I like the trance sounding start, great guitar, piano and sound effects go well together. I'm a guitar player wanna be and can't sing (among other things) so I tend to focus on the guitar, its tone, style and how it is used in the song. I think the guitar shines in this piece.
Now the following is minor and coming from someone new at this game, and having my own issues with the final mix results so don't give this comment much weight. My immediate impression was the bass was a little booming and possibly could be of a softer tone, though played very well, and drums just a tad too tart, but may just need a little less vol. Drums are my weak point so I may be off on this, I can't even tap my foot without stepping on the other foot, thank goodness for these machines. Very creative piece and and as I listen to it again, I really like the guitar, reminds me of my style, except my fingers don't move as fast. Very well done. Thanks a lot Cap! Appreciate the comments & crits. Guitar is my '79 Les Paul Standard through a Boss Br-8 in which I have many custom patches saved. The Boss COSM FX are superb IMO which is why I hung on to the BR-8 even though I don't use it's recording functions. It's an interface/modeler in my set-up now.
