I dig it. One of the challenges on this kind of song is not overpowering tbe speaker and you struck a good balance. There is a constant tension as if everything is goi g to suddenly kick in. This actually draws the listeber to the voice more in anticipation. Nice job

The music really adds effect to the spoken passages here. The music itself is a good partner for the particular passages read. The mix seems urgent and reflective at the same time.A tough thing to do.  Well done!

Thanks Guys, I'm really happy with this piece...the instrumental version is called "Future Suspense" and I thought about adding some spoken word just for fun and instead of doing it myself I searched under "Spoken Word" on SoundCloud and found these passages...it was syncronicity! -Shawn Lee

Yeah Shawn!! Nice one. With the big buildup it would really sound awesome with the right electric guitar coming in about 5-8 seconds after the spoken word and then fading out about 30 seconds before the ending, with just a couple of other spoken words before it ends. Great piece, but you know me, I like lots of things going on. Happy New Year!!

I agree with dubdisciple, the tension is palpable throughout, and the story draws you in; I was transfixed. I wanted something loud in the instrumental half to give me a release. I thought it was almost pornographic (can I say that)?

I'm going to reply to both your songs.  As usual, the sonic quality is top notch as is your talent for creating a mood in a matter of minutes with your compositions.  Thanks again for sharing your songs with us.
