I apologize for my long absence and lack of comments.  It’s been a strange year.  My health is in perfect condition but I now have disk issue in my neck that has left me largely useless.   This has been brought to head over the past month.  Typing and mousing is the worst, followed by guitar playing.  I’m awaiting some further testing and possible surgery, right now I’m doing PT but right now any activity for a few minutes leaves my arms numb and tingling, my hands as well.
Not looking for sympathy, please no long comments on it, I just tell you by way of explanation.  I’m hopeful for PT and surgery but resolution and recover and no doubt several months away.  Not even one year into retirement.  Murphy!
But I had to do something, so I completed this song than had been in my head for a long time and finally came up with some light hearted lyrics that allowed me to finish writing it.  I did it in a lot of short sessions as I could (as I did typing this).
Honest mix feedback please.   Thanks all.

That's what I'd call smooth. Very nice.
Wishing you the best with the health issue.

Hi Daryl -- I wondered where you had been.  Sorry about your health issue and wish you a speedy recovery.  A lot of people that I know (including me) have come down with a health issue shortly after retiring.  Must be something about the body trying to adjust from the release of work-time stress ;>).
I really like this number.  It tells a great story and you have some nice guitar work going on.  Nice tones, timing, good production, and an interesting little surprise end.
Nice one!

Daryl,

By all means don't stretch your neck trying to read this, because I want you to get better so you can continue to play totally awesome songs just like this one. No critique needed on this one, it's perfect!! Love the guitar playing and the sound coming out of it. Great vocals and just a all around awesome song and story. Nicely done.

Peace and Blessings, John

Daryl, this song is just fine as is.  It's what I've come to expect from you-smooth guitar and singing with clever lyrics.  I wish for the best for you!

Daryl, really smooth sound in this one. The vocals are excellent, but I'm hearing mic plosives in a few spots that are distracting. Otherwise, love the mix and the playing!

Hope you recover, but I'd be afraid of surgery, I've heard too many tales of people that it didn't help in the end, and it can't be undone. Maybe a chiropractor can help?

Regards,
Dan
