sometimes I just do not understand when I read a post.
why in the wolrd would you have Nectar on every track....like...ever?! it's primarilay a vocal plugin so on a many track project maybe 1/4 of the tracks would be vocals and would require Nectar to be on.
why would you have all your plugins on when your are at the end at the mixing phase?!
generally I've tweaked and am ready to bounce all tracks down and in mixing I am cleaning up odd pops or frequencies, leveling all tracks and adding wrmth overall - generally mixing all the elements together and making some thing stand out and pushing some things back.
I generally have a Project - complete ready for mix file - then I duplicate the project for mixing. just in case I want to go back and do something or start over - always keeping a "final" project on hand.
why would you need al those plugins running when your at the mixing stage?
I have 32gigs of ram and there is ALWAYS a limit to how many plugins and how much my CPU or rig can handle. but I can load a TON of crap in a project without many problems.
I am not a fan of iZotope any more. I think they have become a ad feature, release, forget company. their plugins don't do a lot for me any more and I am not a fan of the company any longer. coming from someone that owns all the isotope plugins but Isis 2 and advanced versions. I am no longer buying into their upgrade and support a company that wants pay for fixes next relese version. the Ozone 5/6/7 became too much. Trash 2 shown no love. other plugins have just been left out in the rain. Guess I'll see what 2016 holds.
if you don't have isotope plugins and your just getting you feet wet , or you have one and are upgrading to a bundle package there are some great gems to be found and some useful tools if you don't have them - but look before leaping, you may already have something that does the job just as well.
