There are suddenly no audio devices in Sonar.  When I go to Preferences, the audio devices are blank and there is nothing to choose.  I am using ASIO with my VS-700.  Details:
1-Last night Sonar seemed fine, but when I export audio, I couldn't open the WAV in Windows Media Player and I could not open existing WAV files I know are good.
2-Today, there is no audio for Sonar or for WAVs.  WAVs seem to play, but there is not audio.
3-Audio devices are blank in Preferences.
 
I am essentially dead.  Ideas?
 

Hi. Perhaps a faulty cable, or port? Loose connection?
And the usual. Perhaps shut down pc, disconnect VS700, turn pc on/off, connect VS700, and turn on?
Have you tried turning on/off the VS700 with Windows running?

Although I had rebooted more than once, cold restarting everything (PC, console, and I/O) resolved the issue.
 
I still don't know what caused it.

Do you leave everything on in standby mode normally. i.e. you don't do a cold start very often.
