Hi Ron,
Thanks so much for your kind words - much appreciated!  To clarify though - when you say the lead vocal at the 3:30 mark, are you referring to "New Day Sun"?   (and no.. that's not me singing - I'm doing guitars and keys - but not the vocals)
Thanks again!
Russ

Sounds great. Well done. Thought the vocal could have been a little louder.

Yup. Everything I wrote was about New Day Sun. And you're very welcome.
At least I can put aside my envy of your vocals, eh?

Thanks all!  I'll take another pass at the vocals on the tune - particularly the lead vocal level, as it seems many people have pointed that out.

New Day Sun.   That's a bad ass tune man!!  I loved it!  Only critique I had....Vocals and Snare need to come up a bit.

Superb job.

I really like this!  The music has a 70's vibe and I love the 70's!!  Nice riffin' & playing.  The song is really well constructed and performed.  It's a very professional and 70's song!! But the mixing and mastering does not sound 70's.  It's too loud and in your face for some reason.  Not enough dynamics to sound 70's.  Everything is maxed in the mix.  Even the little quiet part sounded loud.  I'm not a mixmaster so I don't how to fix it.  Less compression?  I love the song (and your) other songs too.  Nice job!!

Ralph - thanks!  You've articulated exactly what I was going for - the songwriting and playing of our band definitely has a 70s blues rock vibe, and I wanted to retain that, but I didn't want the recording to sound like it was done in the 70s - I wanted the recording to sound a bit more modern, with some power, etc, but not to the extent of many of today's productions where everything is overly compressed with squashed dynamics, etc.  So I've backed off a bit on the compression and limiting, but not too much, as to strike a balance between retaining the 70s vibe of the tune, but with a bit more modern production.  Thanks!!!!!
