I've always been a basic black/bitter, sometimes Irish Cream guy ...
I always research the heck out of everything before a purchase, no matter how small the cost. We live in the boonies and the wife is always going on about the mocha-foamy-whatever coffees she has while she travels. She saw one of those infomercials for the Ninja Coffee Bar ... She persisted over the next few days while I did research. Despite the made up technology names, they get decent reviews, so when I saw one for $140 I figured what the heck.
Gotta say I really like this thing. Once you fiddle with settings vs volume vs grounds, it makes a really great cup of specialty coffee.
This morning I had an Italian roast on an extra rich setting (which apparently just changes the volume of water used) with 1.5 oz of Irish Cream, topped with hot, foamy milk - no sugar. Damn tasty. Prolly not authentic by any "standards" but really damn good for making it in your kitchen out in the boonies.
I'm hooked.
