Thank you everyone!

Yes, the pitch correction was a bit much, and it's not that easy to work with (Waves.) I DID download the Melodyne, but my computer freezes up whenever I begin pitch correcting with Melodyne.  Perhaps I need to uninstall/reinstall… or even better… SING it better.

Hi, Kiki,

You've got a great sounding pop song with excellent vocals and instrumentation, and a nice clean, modern mix!

I really like your voice on this, and the piano and synth parts are really well textured and nicely arranged.

Coo stuff, have a good one!

I enjoyed this tune! Its catchy and has enough things going on to keep up the interest. About the autotune... well it had been nicer without it or at least soften it up, but I recognice it when you raise the autotune more and more because the alternative sounds much worse. A tip: Loop record one sentence at a time and try to sing it theatrically 10 times in a row. Then you perhaps have enough material to puzzle an ok vocal version together that dont need that much tuning.

Thank you!

I have never loop recorded before... I think I'll YouTube it and check it out... perhaps your idea will do it!

However let it be known between the Waves and Melodyne pitch correction, I think Sonar's V-Vocal Editor is superior to them. You really don't appreciate how good it is until you use someone elses... AND it came bundled with Producer 7!!

Personally I try to avoid pitch correction... I am 53 and grew up listening to classic recording stars who didn't have the luxury of hard disc recording. I also understand in today's music, when used tastefully it gives much personality to a track.

With this song, the whole production was like an artist enjoying the first 3/4" of the painting and then just hurrying up the last 1/4 and finishing it up as fast as possible.

Ah sorry, now I saw that you have Sonar 7. I'm not sure you can loop record in that version. I think it started with the "take lanes" in X2.
