I decided to try something a little different after some research. I've tried the glucosamine/MSM in the Osteo-Biflex so I decided to try these two supplements. I'll certainly report back after some time.
1: Boswellia Extract (High-Potency, 500 mg) 65% boswellia acids and
2: Turmeric Curcumin C3 with BioPerine Black Pepper Extract - 750mg per Capsule. Standardized to 95% Curcuminoids.

They get good reviews. We will see.

Hope is a good thing.

I've been considering surgery. I had a MRI done a couple months ago and the doctor told me that I should talk to the surgeon but I am skeptical because while I have a bulging disk, I seem to have more pain from arthritis in the facet joints but an opinion can't hurt and the surgeon is very good plus he is known to have a conservative outlook. He does not just cut on everyone. All this in 10 years +/-. At 47 I needed glasses, until then I was pretty much young, not many changes. Since then it has been one thing after another. I was able to work until about 5 years ago, was able to get out and dig relics until about 2 years ago. I can still play guitar. It would be nice to get some of it back, life really is short.
I appreciate this thread Sharke. Maybe it will lead to a better life for me and for others. I hope you (whoever reads this) never have to deal with chronic pain. It SUQ.

Life is STILL great though!

I would definitely give the tumeric a go! I remember reading a New York Times article about that a while ago in which doctors were reporting amazing results with tumeric for arthritis pain management.

I took turmeric for about 6 months. It was just like I heard others say. The relief comes on so gradually over time that you don't really think it's doing much. Then you stop taking it, and it doesn't take long to realize exactly how much it was helping. Good thread.... I think I'll try some of that MSM.

Just a medical observation:

Hehe, that reminds me of that long glossary of medical terms that included:  Rectum - Nearly killed 'em! and Vulva - Safe car from Europe.

Tumeric - must be why Indian food is so satisfying. I get a serious craving for it if I haven't had it for awhile.
