Yes!  It absolutely works.  No doubt.  This is the best tune I've heard all night (and I just got done fawning all over Batsbrew's Moonshine, you should check that one out if you haven't already).

Man..this song has that off-thing going on in both the verses and chorus, it totally works.  At the last second that chorus has that commercial quality on that line "..what I'm gonna do" and "...falling down around me and you".

Your voice fits very well, and I like the off melodies you're going for all throughout...damn good writing and singing.

And now I just listened to Happiness Is A Warm Gun...I'm a John Lennon / Beatles nutcase!  You just did that?  I can't believe I just heard one of my favs from the white album remade like that...wow...you kick ass man.  Totally got my respect.

Thanks man.  I have heard a couple of Bats Brews songs, and they are absolutely next level. One day....
Anyway, thanks for the props (and thanks for listening to the Beatles tune.  It was really just an excuse to see how big I could make drums!)

I found it difficult to make out the lyrics at first, but I did eventually hear the same thing twice and so assumed that to be the chorus. As far as happy goes? I don't think it's happy enough to be out of whack with the rest of the song. In fact, the line about the darkness falling down around me and you could be interpreted as quick a dark thought, really.

But, on to other things...
- It's hard to tell the difference between the verse and the chorus, musically, but for some reason it didn't bother me all that much. And you're in good company, anyway. Harry Nilsson's "Coconut" had only one chord. Perhaps if you did some harmony vox in the chorus that would help differentiate the parts of the song.
- I agree with other comments on here; you have a great voice.
- I also love the lazy drive of this song. It's relentless, but unhurried, like a sunset... You know, the darkness coming down.
- Your guitars sound fantastic.

Hey, Sven,

Cool song with great vocals, nice thick wall of guitars and a strong 90's grunge vibe!

I didn't hear the first two mixes, but I easily picked out the choruses on mix 3.  I'd probably raise the chorus harmony vocals up a bit because it seems they're really buried, plus it would add another focal point of change to the chorus.

Anyway, nice work, really good stuff!

Best Wishes,
Bob
