I do it on a laptop all the time. Make sure Melodyne is installed. If the results are inconsistent, try setting it to Percussion mode...it seems better at coping with extreme changes.

one, I have a crappy laptop upstairs, and B, I only get one copy of Melodyne and it not on my laptop. :) So thinks for the info, it's good to know that you need to use Melodyne with a Splat feature. :P that must explain my other issue as well. Dragging a and audio file to a midi track? who know I was using Melodyne when I have never used it in the past. Ha!
