I already have Geist which I know inside and out and use extensively - however I like the idea of shaping my own drum sounds from oscillators and filters etc. And the sequencer looks pretty good as well. I bought Geist half price on sale a couple of years ago and am wondering whether this would make a good companion - any thoughts?

yep got it , dépends on type of production and your methodology , the step sequenceur is exellent , the FX , real good , and presets are also more than usable ....from start (this is what i use)

it's really some fun to play with , and if you like tweaking in pre production , you will be served !!

It does indeed sound great. It kind of reminds me of the sounds you get in those drum machines in the Reaktor factory libray, but with a much better UI and of course not having to deal with those friggin' horrible snapshots for pattern building.

Modular Chaos looks great as well, loads of fun. I might add that to my Xmas self-present

I picked it up too- havent had much time to play around with it- at $75 it's reasonable imho. But, for synthesized percussion sounds I found Rob Papen's Punch of a noticeably higher quality - albeit the sequencer and page layout is on a different type of learning curve (for me).

Well I picked up Tremor and am having lots of fun with it. Seems very well laid out and so far I haven't had to open the manual for anything. It's funny though, I seem to have already stumbled upon exactly the same weird bug as I see sometimes in Geist - occasionally I will have a particular drum row go strange on me so that hovering the mouse over any hit deletes it, and when I insert a hit during playback it disappears straight away. All the other rows in the pattern will work fine except for this one. Sometimes I have to relaunch the project to fix it. It's the strangest thing and happens to me in Geist exactly the same way. I bet the pattern sequencers of both plugins share the same code.
