Friends,

Started a new job and scared crapless about the level of responsibilities. Survived one week and back for another round tommorow am, but means a paycheck coming in. Some funds for upgrades that I could not rationalize being without any income.

Blew 12.50 USD on the holiday special for Hideaway Studio Chromatics. Way way worth the deal for a Kontakt library.

Still on the fence over the Reverberate 2 upgrade. Definitely an improvement over ver 1. Clean and smooth. Think they still have the holiday special.

Uh...

Reverberate back up to the 35 Chinese yen or whatever the standard for an upgrade if you have ver 1. Missed the window.

Will wait til the Christmas or Buddha's birthday sale to reevaluate when the next fire sale is on. 125 yanks for a new license. A bit steep considering less expensive alternatives. That's what's cool, that there are alternatives.

raining in buckets out here on the USA Oregon coast. Breezy 60 mph winds.

Glad to still see you around John.

Looked at Reverberate. Looks real good. Don't know if I will need another reverb plug. But this one is very interesting.

"Breezy 60 mph winds". Wouldn't want to see a windy day.

Guys,

Thanks for the kind words. Been getting a lot of encouragement from friends and former coworkers that I'm probably not as dumb as I look, and if anyone in old age can pull it together, got a good chance. Haven't killed or permanently damaged anyone yet this week.

Bass was aking about windy...

Grand cycle of Allah has the hurricane season in the USA southeast in the summer, then they go flat for the winter. The endless cycle has us in the northwest coast go balistic in the winter and flat in the summer. Diagonal dance that has been going on forever. They got some kind of syntax thing where they can't call what happens to us a hurricane. Just a "severe winter storm". The folks in the southeast get all the news coverage for hurricanes and we get nothing of any note until a lot of people die or a major landslide happens.

My car has scrapes and dings from building parts and debris flying through the air in a storm awhile back that clocked 140 mph winds. Reason they said 140 was because that's where the meters red lined and couldn't tell how high the velocity really was. Lawn chairs, garbage cans fly over roofs and become deadly projectiles if they are left out before before a real storm. Here in Tillamook, we are more protected from the winds, but the floods bring everything to a stop. There are cars that have boat propeller scars on the roof.

About music, really impressed by the Chromatics plug from Hideaway. Sent these guys an email a couple years ago about them losing their renegade status. Used to be the libraries were as cheap as a couple dollars. Then the prices creep up. However at over a gig of samples for $12.50, and some really well planned content, it's a no brainer. Some nice synthetic pads and horns in there.

Yup, nice one that Rhodes Kroma emulation.
But man, 140 mph, that's some serious blow.

Yep. Anything not tied down is hazardous. When we have hurricanes down here that's the biggest concern, getting every little thing picked up.

And John, the news may look over the weather up there, but I pay attention. Most of our winter stuff starts up there!!
