17-Dec-2015: Voxengo is happy to announce the release of version 2.1
of its Boogex plugin - a free guitar amplifier and cabinet
simulation AU and VST plugin for professional music production
applications. Plugin is available in AudioUnit, VST and VST3 plugin
formats (including native 64-bit support), for Mac OS X (v10.6 and
later), and Windows computers.

This version implements the following changes:

* Added "Cyan" color scheme.
* Added 90%, 110% and 150% visual scales.
* Made the user interface scale switchable without host reload.

Boogex is a guitar amplifier plug-in with a variety of sound shaping
features for professional music production applications. With Boogex
it is possible to get a heavy distorted sound as well as slight
“jazzy” saturation sound. Boogex is also able to apply any speaker
cabinet impulse response (selection of built-in impulses is
available). The processing latency is close to zero making it
possible to use Boogex for real-time guitar processing. Boogex also
includes reverberation module derived from Voxengo OldSkoolVerb
reverb.

Voxengo Boogex and other audio plugins can be downloaded at the
Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com/product/boogex/

Interesting, I'll have to try that.

I used to mess around with it on and off years ago, have to check in and see how it's going.

Thx for the heads up.

I've only used this on one track before. Mostly because I received the project with it in there.

Well they've added cyan colour scheme. I'll definitely update now.

I'm a tad ashamed to admit that my Voxengo plugs have, for the past few years, taken a backseat to some of the newer, "sexier" plugins from the likes of Fabfilter, etc.

But it's gestures like this that show why Alexsey is still king of the VST devs in my book.  Just as RME does with their hardware, Alexsey keeps up development of all of his older plugins -- and makes no distinction between the commercial and free stuff.  I mean, who else puts this much effort into their free plugins?

Long live Voxengo!

Agree, plus Voxengo's free plug-ins are probably the best (highest quality) free plug-ins in the world!
And don't forget to purchase some of his commercial plug-ins so he can keep doing what he does.

They have a 15% sale going on now until Dec 31.
No affiliation on my part, just a happy customer.
