Sounds like the issue I am having, (one of them, which is probably related to my others)  See my post "mind boggling vanishing clips".  I just posted a link to a screen capture video in which, what you describe, is exactly what is happening to me.  Sorry that I don't have a solution for you, yet.   https://youtu.be/PgIigvvLjx4

 
Though in this example, the recorded clip isn't vanishing.  It just will not play.  However, after closing and reopening it, it plays. (sometimes).

If you bring up the clip properties what does it tell you?  If you right click on a clip and choose "Assocated Audio Files" it will tell you the full path to the clip.  Is the clip's same rate the same as the project?  I know SONAR will do odd things if a clip isn't the right sample rate.

Did you say you couldn't bounce the track with the offending clip to tracks? That should fix it.
Maybe the data is in an iffy block on the drive.

I did check drive , also data linked to clip ...guyz i tried every logical move linked directly or un directly to the clip , sonar , data streameing ect ...i even check my control surfaces sync ect ...

Like i mentionned also , i xperie ced one time some similira with a track that had layers ....i had to bounce to track all ..

Anyway my issue is solved by tye export thing but i can feel sincé several version sme i don t reeally like under the hood in this area ...i never had such droppouts since cakewalk xl !!!
