This band only gives me about three hours a week for rehearsals and we've been together since Mid September (all have familes and such they get busy)

Right off the vocals seemed out of place, but practice will take care of that. The music part was good and nice and clear mix. All around, not bad at all. Have a great New Year.

Peace and Blessings, John

but I may be crazy .... the mix on sound cloud sounds nothing like the mix I uploaded. Even when played on the same monitors. Wow... I don't know what that is about ... But I am taking it down...

It seems the only way we get it is "taken down", no matter which way we want it.

That was the first thing that stuck out to me..not sure if that approach is going to give you an '80's drum sound, the drums on 'Call Me' in particular sound very boxy and indistinct. I think you might need to close mic to get more control over the drum sounds. Also, I don't think that snare 'skip' was on the original, and it takes away from the '4 to the floor' drive.

On the plus side, everyone sounds like they're having fun

Not me..... ^^^^^^^

However... yeah, you gotta be careful and always listen to everything you upload to the web.... in it's entirety.  More than one time there were glitches in things I uploaded. Everything from phasey sounding pianos to clicks and other garbage that was not in the studio version.

Making a band demo is one of the things I never really enjoyed doing. It's hard to get things to sound right, and accurate to what the band sounds like playing live.  A better option is to get a video of your band playing to a fairly packed house that is having a good time..... then, if the sound isn't quite up to par, the bar or club owner isn't really looking at, or interested in how well the band plays covers,,,,, he's interested in how well you can get the party started and keep it going.  A partying crowd buys drinks and he makes money. That's the bottom line in the club biz.

totally understandable - if my mix fails the car test, it has to go, too that said, I did not listening to your songs on a car stereo yet, so I cannot confirm or deny the need...
