Me and Strummer are both flyin' the Snaggletooth.

This could get confusinating.

Of course we could ALL fly old Snaggler for a week or two in homage and make things extra confusing.

Rolling Stone published an interesting piece about his last days, yesterday.

It's pretty incredible just how universal his appeal was. Everyone seems to have a good word to say about him. The stories keep coming.

Sounds like he was true to himself all the way, takes a lot of balls. I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted to end up in a nursing home for months.

Great article about the party. I'm going to watch the Lemmy movie tonight.

I miss The Young Ones. That was broadcast in the days before we had a VCR and my brother and I used to tape the audio by standing a ghettoblaster next to the TV. We wore those tapes out listening to the episodes over and over, and we didn't even need the picture to appreciate the humor because we could remember every detail from watching it the first time around. That Motorhead episode was my favorite - usually we'd fast forward past the musical interludes but Lemmy never got skipped. I liked the one with Madness as well.

Next day in school after an episode of The Young Ones was, as you can imagine, complete chaos.

Almost forgot about this, it's a bluegrass version of The Ace Of Spades with me on banjo. Recorded sometime around the turn of the century on a crappy old four track on an ultra-cheap mic in a small attic with terrible acoustics, with no mixing to speak of, just a bunch of stoners having some fun. What I mean to say is, don't expect much from the sound, it's pretty terrible lol.....

...or the playing for that matter, we were all pretty caned and I'd only been playing the banjo for about a month so my attempt to improvise a "solo" was pretty lame to say the least. But I think we captured a vibe...

Incidentally, we had a top notch drummer here, my friend Martin, who was in the legendary Baghdaddies for many years and played with Sting not so long ago.

You should definitely re-record that one, now that you've had some time to practice.
