I think sometimes we get focused on relatively small problems as a diversion from real issues. So many things are far more likely to hurt us. Worse case scenario still results in death by drone being less likely than being killed by lightning. Until figures check change it is among the least on the least of my worries list.

Also, the ding dong that was at a protected wildlife park where you were supposed to stay on the trail to protect the fragile habitat, but he wanted a closeup of the water fall, launched his drone with built in camera, crashed it into the side of the hill, the scaled the fence, climbed up the steep incline to fetch his drone, and all the time chunks of moss and flora are cascading down below him.

Drones are tools in the hands of some, weapons in the hands of others, and dangerous toys in the hands of most.

Anyone else concerned?
Well yes, I am now after seeing that video Susan.
That's a real eye opener.

I'm hoping that one won't come flying into me as I'm on one of my motorcycles.

It's bad enough with the idiots in traffic, including the ones who purposely try to run me (us) off the road - and the dogs - and the cell phone drivers - and the other drivers - you know - the ones who never look in their mirrors when they're driving - and the ones who never look out their windows when they're driving - and the ones who should have never been let out on the roads or given a license in the first effen place.

Am I concerned? Not at this point. I am not going to let drone-fear affect me.

I believe I saw this on SharkTank or via a KickStarter request, but there is a drone coming out that lets you use your iPhone as the camera. Is has a slot to put your phone into and take your amazing videos while flying the drone around. First thought, that's 'cool'. After the coolness subsides, reality hits and you have to wonder about using your $400 phone device as the camera in one of these.

I'm worried these drones may creep into my songs.

You have not heard enough Klaus Schulze ... the word drone would take a different meaning!

According to the company that owned and operated the drone involved in the skier incident, the drone lost control due to "strong and unforeseen interference on the operating frequency".

The question should be: where would a sudden blast of 2.4 to 5.8 GHz come from up on a mountaintop? It would have had to be either a very strong signal, or a narrow beam aimed directly at the drone. Either way, it's unlikely to be an accident. More likely, it was either sabotage or a prank.
